World Ocean Day
The ocean covers over 70% of the planet. It is our life source, supporting humanity’s sustenance and that of every other organism on earth.
Sapphire International School organised a special Online Assembly to observe 'World Ocean Day' on the 8th of June to remind every one of the major role the oceans have in everyday life. They are the lungs of our Planet and a major source of food and medicine and a critical part of the biosphere.
The special assembly started with a Prayer recited by Kashishsen Bhogta, followed by an inspiring thought by Vaibhav
Ritveek Roy informed the audience about the significance and need to observe World Ocean Day. Suraj Singh captivated them by presenting several fascinating facts about the Oceans.
Pritha's touching poem about the Ocean mesmerized everyone.
Mr. Anurag Mathews showcased a beautiful presentation about the Oceans and the marine life, which was not only intriguing but also enlightening.
Prakhar Kumar acted as the anchor.
The Assembly concluded with the speech of the Principal, Mr. Amit Singh, who motivated the students with his inspiring words. He rightly pointed out the futility of observing these important days, if we don't bring change in ourselves. He encouraged the students to become more disciplined and become assets, not only for their own country, but for the world.
