The assembly commenced by a blissful prayer led by Grade 6 choir followed by the Thought for the Day said by Yash Raj Pandey.
Arshia and Suraj threw light upon the life, achievements, and contribution of Gurudev. Aashi exquisitely recited the poem composed by Gurudev, “Where the Mind is Without Fear” followed by a Hindi poem, “Nahi Mangta” by Kashishsen.
Lavanya, Kunal, Sravsyam, Shivam and Pritha presented a heart touching skit, “Bhikharan” written by Tagore.
The assembly concluded with address by the Science HOD, Mr Mehta who said that ‘No Bags Day’ reflects Tagore’s philosophy. Einstein, a thinker with the head of a poet, had a deterministic philosophy while Tagore, a poet with the head of a thinker, had flexible philosophy and so they never met with an agreeable conclusion. Tagore in the education area emphasized upon Naturalism, Internationalism, Idealism and Humanism and thus opened Vishwa Bharti and Shantiniketan.
