Hindi Diwas is celebrated on the 14th of September to pay tribute to the official language of India. Hindi was adopted as the official language of our Constituent Assembly on September 14, 1949. The Constitution of India adopted Hindi in Devanagri Script as the official language of the union under Article (343) in 1950.
Sapphire International School conducted a special Online Assembly to celebrate Hindi Diwas on the 13th of September.
The programme commenced with a beautiful prayer song by Pritha and thought of the day by Ashmit.
Himanshi and Vasundhara recited a poem on the Hindi Language. Sanskriti enlightened the students with the history and importance of the Hindi language.
Saanvi and Vishwaraj highlighted the various awards given in the field of the Hindi language. Atharv Raj and Vishwaraj presented an amazing conversation which included idioms in Hindi.
The programme ended with the address by the Principal who said, "Hindi as a language is the cord which ties all the languages together and keeps us connected to our roots."
Kunal of Grade 5 compered the entire program which marked the importance of the country’s most widely spoken language.
