National Endangered Species Day
Every year on the third Friday in May, millions of people, around the world, participate in Endangered Species Day by celebrating, learning about, and taking action to protect threatened and endangered species.
Sapphire International School, as always took up the initiative and observed National Endangered Species Day as well as International Day for Biological Diversity on 21st May 2021.
The students of grade 7 collaborated and presented the importance of celebrating the significant day.
The programme started with an introduction by Richa. Shreyansh elucidated the meaning of terms like, 'endangered', 'poaching'.
Mantra lent his voice to a beautiful prayer and then demystified the heinous crime that poaching is, with the help of a heart wrenching video.
Shreyansh shared the thought for the day signifying that, the value of the life of humans and animals is same. We all are equal for our Mother Nature.
With the help of slides, Rishi showed us the Magical Biodiversity of India.
Atharva recited a thought provoking poem, "last Breath".
With the help of an amazing video, Happy exhibited the bountiful Biodiversity of Sapphire International School and concluded the programme.
