LalaLajpat Rai was an Indian independence activist. He played a pivotal role in the Indian Independence movement. Popularly known by the epithet,Punjab Kesari(The Lion of Punjab), he was one of the three of the Lal Bal Pal triumvirate. Recognized for his fierce brand of patriotism and potent vocalism against the British rule in India.
Sapphire International School conducted a special Online Assembly on the 28th of January, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Punjab Kesri, LalaLajpat Rai.
The programme commenced with a blissful prayer led by Ankur Raj. The thought for the day was shared by Askrit.
AyushBhogta, Gaurangi, Tanjim, Shaurya and Riya threw light on some of the important events from the life of LalaLajpat Rai.
The students of Grade 5 and 6 shared several insightful quotes by LalaLajpat Rai.
The entire assembly was diligently conducted by Anand Roy on behalf of Grade 6 AB.
The programme concluded with the address by the Academic Coordinator, Mr Ajay Chauhan who shared a fewinspiring anecdotes from the life of LalaLajpat Rai, exhorting the students to become better and responsible citizens and be grateful to such personalities for their invaluable contributions to the Nation.
