Primary School News Anchoring & Live Reporting Competition
"Self-expression is a vital part of understanding life, and enjoying it to the fullest.”
In the last week of July an Online News Anchoring Competition was held for the students of Grade 2 and 3, whereas a Live Reporting Competition was organized for the students of Grade 4 and 5.
The students were quite thrilled and enthusiastically participated in the competitions. Grade 2 and 3 presented a beautiful scenario of a newsroom and came up with their own scripts on the current issues of the world. Grade 4 and 5 were full of zeal as they reported live, with the help of parents, siblings and grandparents, on the various happenings in and around their homes during this pandemic. Overall, the competitions helped the students to improve their self-confidence and public speaking skills. The jury members encouraged the students to watch English news channels like BBC World News and CNN to be exposed to beautiful English and improve their presentation skills.
