International Literacy Day
The International Literacy Day is observed annually on the 8th of September to remind the international community of the importance of literacy for individuals, communities and societies, and the need for intensified efforts towards more literate societies.
Sapphire International School conducted a special Online Assembly to observe International Literacy Day on the 6th of September. The programme commenced with a prayer by Manna Soren, followed by thought of the day by Aarav.
Jiya and Rudransh, with the help of a PPT enlightened the students with various riveting facts about World Literacy and also highlighted the need of education to make the world a better place. Saanvi Wadhwani recited a soul stirring poem emphasising the importance of education for every one.
Shazmah masterfully compered the programme.
The English Department played an important role in conducting this highly educative and edifying Assembly.
