Sapphire International School conducted a special assembly on the 4th of February to celebrate Basant Panchami, the birthday of the Goddess of knowledge and arts, Maa Saraswati.
The programme commenced with the chanting of Saraswati Shloka followed by Saraswati Vandana . Aradhya of Grade 3, enthralled the audience, offering a beautiful tribute to goddess Saraswati ,through her classical dance performance.
Moulik and Naitik shared the story behind the celebration of the festival, whereas Navya and Saanvi recited a beautiful poem in Hindi exploring the beauty of 'Basant'.
Manaswi and Ritika captivated the audience with their energetic dance performance.
Suraj Singh , anchored the proceedings with zest and gusto.
In his closing address, the Principal commended the efforts of students ,teachers and even parents behind the wonderful presentation . Further, he observed that we need to take keen interest in learning about our rich cultural and mythological roots. He highlighted the fact that what the West claims to be its own findings are already there in our ancient texts.
Ms. Sonia Choubey and Ms. Alivia Ghosh played an important role in conducting this colorful assembly.
