World Zoonoses Day
“World Zoonoses Day tells us how the health of animals is closely and inextricably related to the health of humans”.
World Zoonoses Day commemorates the work of French biologist Louis Pasteur; on 6 July 1885, Pasteur successfully administered the first vaccine against rabies, a zoonotic disease.
Happy Feet, the Pre-primary wing of Sapphire International School conducted a special Online Assembly to observe the World Zoonoses Day on the 9th of July. The programme commenced with a prayer, offered by Mrigank of class LKG, followed by the thought of the day by Ritika of class UKG.
Aryan and Deepti illuminated the audience with various bits of information related to Zoonotic Diseases.
Yuvraj, Adira highlighted the adverse effects of these Zoonotic diseases and precautionary measures to be taken in order to avoid contracting them.
Anmol shared a most graceful and charming video of his friends showing their love and concern for animals.
The entire programme was conducted successfully by our Kindergarteners and concluded with the address by the Principal, who inspired the students with his nuggets of wisdom, handing out practical Advice related to handling of Pets.
