1st Phoenix Open Shooting Championship 2021


Akansha Ojha, student of class 8 of Sapphire International School made the
entire school proud by winning three medals in 1st Phoenix Open Shooting
Competition and Championship 2021, which was organised from 1st to 3rd
October in Ramgarh.
She won Gold Medal in Junior category, Silver Medal in Senior category and
Bronze Medal in Youth category.
'Essaying Goa'

The students of Class 7 and 8 enthusiastically participated in 'Ek Bharat
Shreshtha Bharat' essay writing competition. The topic for the essay was, '
Goa - more than just a tourist destination'.
Through this activity the students learnt more about Goa. They learnt about
the life and culture of Goa. They saw Goa in a fresh light, how it is more
than just a tourist destination. The students, in their essays, not only
wrote about Goa in detail but also compared and contrasted the culture and
lifestyle of Goa and Jharkhand. It was a fun learning activity for the
students.
Table Manners

National Unity Day

NATIONAL UNITY DAY is celebrated on 31st of October to foster and reinforce
our dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity and the security
of the Nation. This day also marks the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of
India –Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.
Sapphire International School conducted a special Online Assembly to celebrate Ek
Bharat Shresth Bharat Utsav on 31st of October. The programme commenced with an
instrumental music on Guitar played by Siddhant Bose of grade 9 on 'mile sur mera
tumhara',followed by a speech in English by Aashi of grade 8 highlighting the role
of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in the unification of India. Hari Om of grade 8 in his
speech emphasised the need of unity in the development of India.
The speech was followed by the 'UNITY PLEDGE' administered by the School Captain
Ishita Priyadarshini of Grade 12. The programme also showcased the poject work done
by the students of Grade 6 to 8 with the help of a Power Point presentation and
video clips. The project exhibited the culture, customs, dress, agriculture,
cuisine, flora-fauna, wildlife, climate and topography of Goa and Jharkhand.
An enthralling online quiz was conducted on the theme of NATIONAL UNITY DAY.
The programme concluded with the address by the Principal, who in his speech highlighted the
teachings of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and also emphasized the importance of unity in the
development of India.
