International Literacy Day

The International Literacy Day is observed annually on the 8th of September
to remind the international community of the importance of literacy for
individuals, communities and societies, and the need for intensified efforts
towards more literate societies.
Sapphire International School conducted a special Online Assembly to observe
International Literacy Day on the 6th of September. The programme commenced
with a prayer by Manna Soren, followed by thought of the day by Aarav.
Jiya and Rudransh, with the help of a PPT enlightened the students with
various riveting facts about World Literacy and also highlighted the need of
education to make the world a better place. Saanvi Wadhwani recited a soul
stirring poem emphasising the importance of education for every one.
Shazmah masterfully compered the programme.
The English Department played an important role in conducting this highly
educative and edifying Assembly.
Ganesh Chaturthi

Sapphire International School conducted a special Online Assembly to
celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi on the 10th of September. The programme
commenced with a prayer by Navya in Sanskrit, while Shweta explained the
meaning of the prayer in Hindi.
Aradhya highlighted the importance of celebration of the festival. Lavya and
Sharleez presented a wonderful dance performance and enchanted the audience.
Raj shared some interesting facts about Lord Ganesha, while Pushti informed
the audience about the celebration of this beautiful festival in an eco- friendly
manner. Tanishi narrated a fascinating story from the life of the elephant God,
Ganesha. Bhagyashree concluded the program with Ganesh Vandana.
The programme ended with the address by the Principal who was dazzled by the
performance of the students.
Bhagyashree masterfully compered the entire programme.
The students of Grade 2 played an important role in conducting this delightful
assembly.
Hindi Diwas

Hindi Diwas is celebrated on the 14th of September to pay tribute to the
official language of India. Hindi was adopted as the official language of
our Constituent assembly on September 14, 1949. The Constitution of India
adopted Hindi in Devanagri Script as the official language of the union under
Article (343) in 1950 .
Sapphire International School conducted a special Online Assembly to celebrate
Hindi Diwas on the 13th of September.
The programme commenced with a beautiful prayer song by Pritha and thought of
the day by Ashmit.
Himanshi and Vasundhara recited a meaningful poem on Hindi. Sanskriti
enlightened the students with the history and importance of the Hindi
language.
Saanvi and Vishwaraj highlighted the various awards given in the field of the
Hindi language. Atharv Raj and Vishwaraj presented an amazing conversation
which included idioms in Hindi.
The programme ended with the address by the Principal who said, "Hindi as a
language is the cord which ties all the languages together and keeps us
connected to our roots."
Kunal of Grade 5 compered the entire program which marked the importance of
the country’s most widely spoken language.
National Nutrition Month

The National Nutrition month is observed in India from September 1 to
September 30 to create awareness about good nutrition and health.
Sapphire International School conducted a special Online Assembly on the
17th of September,to observe the National Nutrition Month.
The proceedings began with the prayer by Gurleen followed by the thought of
the day.
She, then, welcomed the guest speaker, Dr. Aruna Khalkho Minz, Director of
Faith and Felix Nursing Home & Frank’s Care Centre, Khunti.
Dr. Minz highlighted in detail, the utmost significance of healthy food
habits. She lamented the present day lifestyles that in corporate unhealthy
eating patterns, especially among children. The students asked several
questions related to nutrition and its importance. Dr. Minz cleared their
doubts.
She also illuminated the audience with the overall purpose behind celebrating
National Nutrition Month. It is to spread awareness of good nutrition and
health, which are closely Inter linked. She dwelt on initiatives taken up by
the government ,focussing on nutrition, good food, healthy body, mind, and
lifestyle.
The Assembly concluded with the address by the Principal, who thanked the
guest speaker for enlightening the students and staff with her invaluable
body of information. He also encouraged the audience to opt for a healthy way
of life.
